Commercial Contracts Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial / Contracts Manager to join a major London public-sector organisation on an interim basis. This role focuses on managing and improving the performance of a large, complex operational contract within a regulated environment, ensuring strong supplier accountability and delivery against contractual obligations and KPIs.

- Daily Rate: £369.99 PAYE / £505.23 Umbrella

As a Commercial / Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of a high-profile Operations & Maintenance contract, supporting end-to-end contract management across a complex supplier environment.
You will play a key role in reviewing contract performance, identifying underperformance, and implementing improvements to ensure delivery meets agreed service levels and standards.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who can quickly integrate into a complex environment, work independently, and deliver measurable outcomes from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Review a large, complex contract to identify gaps, risks, and performance issues
- Hold suppliers accountable against contractual obligations, KPIs, and service levels
- Drive performance improvement and ensure delivery against agreed outcomes
- Develop and strengthen governance, reporting, and contract control frameworks
- Manage supplier performance, including escalation of risks and issues
- Act as a key point of contact between operators and internal stakeholders
- Lead performance discussions and challenge delivery where required
- Ensure accurate documentation, audit trails, and compliance with contractual processes
- Experience working in a large, complex or regulated environment
- Proven, hands-on experience in contract or commercial management roles
- Demonstrated experience improving underperforming contracts or suppliers
- Strong experience managing KPIs, SLAs, and performance outcomes
- Experience managing supplier performance and driving accountability
- Experience working with governance frameworks and contract controls
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with external operators or service providers
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, outcome-focused approach
