Commercial Business Manager

An ambitious and growing business is seeking a highly commercial, entrepreneurial individual to work directly alongside the Managing Director.This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to become a key part of a growing business, with genuine scope to influence strategy, improve processes, develop supplier relationships, identify new opportunities and play a major role in future growth.The successful candidate will act as the Managing Director's trusted right-hand person, helping to drive commercial performance whilst supporting business operations across sales, purchasing, marketing and project delivery.
Your new role
- Working closely with the Managing Director to deliver strategic business objectives
- Identifying and pursuing new commercial opportunities
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis
- Negotiating pricing, terms and agreements with suppliers
- Managing supplier relationships and performance
- Supporting sales activity and customer engagement
- Preparing proposals, quotations and commercial agreements
- Coordinating projects and ensuring actions are delivered on time
- Working with external marketing providers and supporting business development initiatives
- Reviewing business processes and implementing improvements
- Monitoring profitability, margins and commercial performance
- Taking ownership of key business initiatives and seeing them through to completion
- Commercially focused with a strong business mindset
- Confident negotiating with suppliers and stakeholders
- Experience in purchasing, sales, commercial management or business development
- Able to spot opportunities and turn ideas into action
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and ambitious
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Looking for a long-term opportunity to grow into a senior leadership position
