Job Purpose:

To build and assemble refrigerated vehicles to a high standard, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company quality requirements. The role involves working with power tools, machinery, silicone, and other materials, including tasks performed at height.

Key Responsibilities:

Construct and fit bodywork for refrigerated vehicles according to specifications.

Use a variety of power tools, hand tools, and machinery safely and effectively.

Apply sealants and silicone to ensure airtight and insulated finishes.

Work at heights using appropriate safety equipment and procedures.

Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.

Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.

Skills \& Experience Required:

Proven experience in commercial bodywork or vehicle assembly.

Competent in the use of power tools and workshop machinery.

Ability to work at heights safely (training provided if necessary).

Knowledge of materials such as silicone and sealants.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Bodywork, Engineering, or related field.

Working at Heights certification (or willingness to undertake training).

Experience in refrigerated vehicle construction.

Working Conditions:

Workshop environment with occasional outdoor work.

Use of PPE required at all times.

Manual handling and lifting involved.
