Commercial and Industrial Cleaning - Account Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your negotiation, communication, and organisational skills within a fast\-paced business environment. The ideal applicant will have experience in B2B sales, customer service, and possess strong IT and time management capabilities. A valid driving licence is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Surveying and costing industrial and commercial cleaning contracts
- Serving as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients and managing all client communications
- Negotiating and renewing contracts or agreements with existing and new clients
- Developing and executing account plans that align with clients’ business goals and company objectives
- Collaborating with internal teams (e.g. sales, marketing, operations, finance) to coordinate service delivery or product fulfilment
- Monitoring account budgets, expenditures and profitability, and explaining costs or invoicing to clients
- Tracking performance metrics (e.g. key performance indicators (KPIs) such as client retention, upselling rates or satisfaction) and preparing account reports or updates for clients and management
- Identifying opportunities for account growth through upselling, cross\-selling or expanding services to meet client needs
- Resolving client issues, addressing concerns or complaints and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintaining awareness of market trends and competitor activity to inform client proposals and company offerings

- Proven experience in B2B sales or account management roles
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to customer relationship management (CRM) tools and Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients’ needs
