Commercial Accountant
Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Commercial Accountant to join a growing business based in Rotherham. This is a high-profile role that will partner closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight, drive performance, and support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will support in FP&A delivery for the business, manage budgets and forecasts create financial models and report on performance across the business. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys business partnering and wants to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and influencing business outcomes through data-driven analysis.

- Lead the annual budgeting process across all departments.
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts and long-range financial plans.
- Produce monthly management reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support strategic planning through robust financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to improve profitability and performance.
- Challenge assumptions and provide financial insight to support business decisions.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, business cases, and growth initiatives.
- Analyse customer, product, and channel profitability to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support pricing, margin optimisation, and cost management initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for senior management.
- Develop and enhance management information and reporting processes.
- Monitor business performance against budget and forecast targets.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting activities as required.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- Support the development of finance systems, tools, and reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and professionalisation of the finance function.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a commercially-focused role
- Excellent communicator, able to deal with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling experience
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capability
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Commercially minded with strong business partnering skills
- Experience working within a growing, dynamic business environment
