About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and detail\-oriented CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team.
This is a key role responsible for developing and optimising CNC programs to support efficient, accurate machining operations. You will play an important part in ensuring high\-quality production, reducing downtime, and continuously improving manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Programming \& Process Development
- Develop and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360\)
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications to generate accurate toolpaths
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies
Validation \& Continuous Improvement
- Simulate and verify CNC programs to identify and resolve potential issues
- Maintain and update program libraries and supporting documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
Collaboration \& Production Support
- Work closely with production, quality, and design teams to ensure manufacturability
- Provide technical support to CNC machinists during setup and production
- Operate CNC machines when required for trials or to support production needs
Health, Safety \& Standards
- Promote a strong safety culture , including BBSO and near\-miss reporting
- Ensure safe working practices and support stop\-work authority initiatives
- Maintain awareness of product developments and ensure processes remain aligned
Essential
- Proven experience in CNC programming within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAM software and strong understanding of G\-code and CNC operations
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, materials, and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
- High attention to detail and strong problem\-solving skills
- Competence in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality processes
- Experience with offline programming and process optimisation
