With a focus on resilience, security and operational efficiency, the organisation is seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to lead the successful migration of its on-premise server estate into a secure and scalable cloud-hosted environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong cloud specialist to play a pivotal role in a high-impact infrastructure project, taking ownership of the migration process from initial assessment and solution design through to deployment, optimisation and knowledge transfer.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assessing the existing on-premise infrastructure environment and reviewing current systems, applications and operational dependencies

  • Designing and implementing a suitable cloud-hosted infrastructure solution using Microsoft Azure, AWS or an equivalent platform

  • Leading the migration of business-critical finance systems, EPOS platforms and file server environments into hosted virtual machine infrastructure

  • Configuring and managing Windows Server virtual environments to support operational requirements

  • Designing and securing cloud networking environments, including firewalls, remote access solutions and public IP configurations

  • Implementing robust backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions to ensure system resilience and data protection

  • Managing Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments to support a large multi-user infrastructure

  • Ensuring compliance with Microsoft and SQL Server licensing requirements across the hosted environment

  • Coordinating with third-party vendors and software providers to confirm compatibility, supportability and migration requirements

  • Troubleshooting infrastructure, networking and migration-related issues throughout the project lifecycle

  • Minimising operational disruption and downtime during migration and deployment activities

  • Producing comprehensive technical documentation, migration plans and knowledge transfer materials

  • Providing technical guidance and recommendations regarding infrastructure optimisation, scalability and long-term supportability

What You Will Need To Apply: • Proven experience delivering successful server-to-cloud migration projects within complex business environments
  • Strong technical expertise across Microsoft Azure infrastructure services and cloud-hosted virtual environments

  • Experience administering Windows Server environments and virtualisation technologies

  • Strong understanding of Remote Desktop Services (RDS) deployment and management

  • Experience managing SQL Server environments and associated licensing requirements

  • Knowledge of virtual firewall technologies, ideally including FortiGate solutions

  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, backup and disaster recovery best practices

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, networking and migration issues

  • Experience working with business-critical systems and minimising operational downtime during migrations

  • Strong project delivery, organisational and stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and manage project priorities within a fast-paced environment

What You Will Get In Return:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure transformation project within a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation.
The business offers a competitive salary, flexibility around project scope and delivery approach, alongside the opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical migration programme with significant operational impact. The organisation promotes a collaborative working culture and values technical expertise, innovation and proactive problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
This represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure & Migration Specialist seeking a technically challenging and commercially significant project within a modern and evolving business environment.
