QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Criteria:\-

• Be registered on the general division of the register of nurses maintained by the NMBI.


• Have at least 5 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting.


• Have a qualification in the nursing speciality in question


• 3yrs experience in the specialist area of medical oncology


• 2 years Managerial experience in out\-patient/inpatient oncology settings


• Have experience using the UKONs Triage Assessment Tool.


• A working knowledge of risk management, clinical audit and quality metrics


• The ability to analyse, report on and effect change in nursing practice.


• Have proven clinical and professional ability


• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


• Have good IT skills, with ability to use Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint etc.

• Nurse Prescribing Qualification *(desirable)*


• Comprehensive Health Assessment qualification *(desirable)*


• Graduate Cert in Advanced Nursing Practice *(desirable)*
