. The Hospital is inviting applications for the following post:

Clinical Nurse Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Care

Essential:

• Be a registered nurse on the active Register of Nurses/ Midwives held by NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be eligible to register

and

• Be registered in the Psychiatric Nursing Division.

and

• Have acquired a level 8 post registration Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic award relevant to the specialist area (peri\-natal mental health or specialist mental health interventions) prior to application.

*Note: It is the policy of the CWIUH to require nurses and midwives to certify registration with NMBI annually, by way of the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC)*

• Have extensive experience and clinical expertise i.e. minimum of 5 years (full\-time or an aggregate of 5 years full time) post registration experience in Psychiatric nursing.

and

• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience working with women in relation to Perinatal Mental Health issues in a specialist unit, or in an acute inpatient service, or in a community mental health team or in an acute community mental health team.

and

• Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice.

and

• Have evidence of continuing professional development specifically in relation to Perinatal Mental Health care e.g. The Mind Mothers e\-learning programme on HSELanD.
