Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our growing team. You will manage your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, while also supporting senior solicitors on complex, high-value cases.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their expertise within a supportive and progressive firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
- Handling cases involving misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, and delayed treatment
- Conducting detailed case investigations, including reviewing medical records and instructing expert witnesses
- Drafting legal documents including Letters of Claim, pleadings, and witness statements
- Negotiating settlements and attending court hearings where necessary
- Maintaining strong client relationships with a compassionate and professional approach
- Ensuring compliance with relevant protocols, including the Pre-Action Protocol for Clinical Negligence
- Keeping up to date with legal developments and best practices
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent)
- Ideally 2+ years’ PQE in clinical negligence
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
