Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to resolution, including settlement or court proceedings.


• Conducting detailed case investigations, including reviewing medical records and liaising with expert witnesses.


• Providing clear legal advice to clients regarding their rights, options, and potential outcomes of their claims.


• Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and settlement agreements with precision and professionalism.


• Negotiating settlements effectively whilst maintaining the best interests of clients.


• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal procedures, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.


• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, medical professionals, and external counsel.


• Keeping abreast of developments in healthcare law and clinical negligence legislation to provide informed advice.

• Proven experience as a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or in a similar healthcare law role.


• Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable outcomes for clients while managing expectations professionally.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.


• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an empathetic approach towards clients.


• Ability to analyse complex medical and legal information critically and accurately.


• A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development and staying updated on relevant legal changes.
