Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our reputable legal team. The successful candidate will specialise in handling complex clinical negligence claims, providing expert legal advice, and representing clients who have suffered due to medical malpractice or negligence. Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception through to resolution, including settlement or court proceedings.
- Conducting detailed case investigations, including reviewing medical records and liaising with expert witnesses.
- Providing clear legal advice to clients regarding their rights, options, and potential outcomes of their claims.
- Drafting legal documents, pleadings, and settlement agreements with precision and professionalism.
- Negotiating settlements effectively whilst maintaining the best interests of clients.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal procedures, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, medical professionals, and external counsel.
- Keeping abreast of developments in healthcare law and clinical negligence legislation to provide informed advice.
- Proven experience as a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or in a similar healthcare law role.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable outcomes for clients while managing expectations professionally.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an empathetic approach towards clients.
- Ability to analyse complex medical and legal information critically and accurately.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development and staying updated on relevant legal changes.
