Job Title: Client Support Trainee Advisor

Location: Westerham

Job Type: Full\-Time

Salary: £24,784 to £30,000 depending on skills, qualifications and experience

Role Overview:

Whilst carrying out client support within the IFA role, you will join an internal development programme designed to prepare you to become a financial adviser. You will work towards applying for the next available internal cohort once qualified.

The programme combines structured study towards your professional exams with hands\-on experience. Alongside your training, you will shadow advisers, support client calls, and attend client meetings to build practical knowledge and confidence for the next step in your career.

You will also develop core advisory skills through enhanced training in product and investment propositions with fund managers, alongside developing your fact\-finding, questioning, and cashflow planning abilities.

Following successful completion of your 6\-month probation period, an exam timetable will be put in place to support you in achieving the relevant qualifications required for the advisory role.

Key Responsibilities – Client Support:

· Provide high\-quality administrative support to a team of financial advisors.

· Manage client appointments, schedules, and paperwork.

· Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.

· Preparing client packs and paperwork prior to/after meetings, including requesting valuations.

· Obtaining specific policy information from product providers and third parties via email, telephone, and online.

· Collaborating with Centralised Administration to ensure timely receipt of information.

· Prepare and maintain client financial plans using IO and PFP software.

· Understand cashflow analysis and financial planning advice to clients.

· Complete and audit Portfolio Reviews

· Complete and audit New Business Submission

· Complete and audit Post Sales Tasks

· Ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.

· Track progress and identify areas where advisers need additional support.

· Maintain up\-to\-date client lists.

· Build relationships with product partners.

· Train others on new products and processes

· Initiate workload from client and adviser actions. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Commit to personal development.

Key Responsibilities – Trainee Adviser:

· Participate in an extensive 18 month to 2 years training program covering various aspects of the advisory role.

· Studying alongside working in the Client Support team to become a fully qualified Financial Planner at Diploma level.

· Assist senior advisers in providing expert advice to clients.

· Conduct research and analysis to support client recommendations and decision\-making processes.

· Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for client meetings.

· Shadow client meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items as required.

· Develop and maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

· Support your adviser in business development activities, including preparing proposals and presentations.

· Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

· Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.

· Complete industry exams and gain necessary qualifications with support from the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Recent graduate with a degree \[preferably, e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, Law].

· Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

· Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast\-paced environment.

· Demonstrated interest in Finance
