Site Cleaner – Manufacturing Environment
Burnley Area | Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Are you an experienced Cleaner with a background in manufacturing or industrial environments? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.
We are currently recruiting for a Site Cleaner to join a well-established company based in the Burnley area. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term prospects following a successful 12-week period.
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:15pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
- 38 hours per week
- 30-minute lunch break
- £12.71 per hour
Working as part of the site cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across factory, production, office, and communal areas. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- General cleaning of all on-site areas
- Emptying waste bins and transporting waste materials to designated collection points
- Sweeping floors using brushes and dust-control mops
- Mopping floors using appropriate wet and dry mops
- Operating electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines (following training)
- Vacuum cleaning carpeted areas
- Using electrically powered cleaning equipment
- Dusting, damp wiping, washing, and polishing furniture, ledges, windowsills, cupboards, radiators, shelves, fittings, and light switches
- Replenishing consumables including soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels
- Cleaning male and female toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, showers, and drinking areas
- Cleaning kitchen and communal areas including tables, sinks, work surfaces, and fittings
- Reporting maintenance concerns or damaged areas to management
- Adhering to and promoting 5S principles within the workplace
- Previous cleaning experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or factory environment
- Experience cleaning both production and office areas
- A methodical and organised approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and high cleaning standards
- Reliable, conscientious, and hardworking attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Temporary to permanent opportunity after 12 weeks
- Early finish every Friday
