Class 2 Driver
About us:
The Bread Factory is London’s leading Artisan Bakery, known for award-winning breads, pastries, and cakes, supplying top-quality products across e-commerce, grocery, food services, and retailers such as our GAIL’s Bakeries nationwide.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering fresh products to customers efficiently and on time while ensuring excellent service.
What’s in it for you?
- Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off (rolling rota)
- Working Hours: 12-hour shifts
- Start Time: Approximately 11:30am (subject to route allocation)
- Pay Rate: £19.20 per hour
- 40% - 50% discount at The Bread Factory and GAIL’s Bakery
- 24-hour GP service
- Delivery of our products and collections of equipment to/ from customers’ sites and distribution centres
- To drive Category 1 vehicle safely, legally and efficiently as required
- To positively represent the company when delivering to customers.
- To comply with all drivers' hours and relevant legislation
- To carry out all necessary checks to ensure that the vehicle is safe and legal, and to follow company's defect reporting process
- Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle at all times
- To comply with all Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements at all times
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence
- CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years' driving experience preferred
- Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
- Reliable and professional approach to work
