Clarke Transport are seeking a Class 1 Driver to join our team.
- Class 1 PM Shift 14:30 – 22:30 overtime when required (no later than 23:00\)
- Willing to work Sat / Sun on a rota system
The successful applicant will earn £20\.06 per hour (paid weekly) on an 8 hour shift Monday to Friday, and you will be entitled to 28 days holiday per year (inclusive of all bank holidays).
Role Requirements
- Comply with compliance and health \& safety procedures.
- HGV Category C\+E Driver License allowing you to drive in the UK.
- DCPC Training up to date.
- Relevant Medical up to date.
- Good Spoken English to be able to communicate with customers with other colleagues.
- Driving and operating your vehicle in accordance with Road Traffic Legislation and the Highway Code It will be your responsibility to keep this vehicle clean and serviceable.
- Ensure that all Daily Vehicle Checks are undertaken and reported.
- Make effective use of safety equipment, particularly personal protective equipment. There is a zero\-tolerance policy on health and safety.
- To comply with all legislative requirements, company policy and procedures always.
- To return all POD’s, PDA’s, and other associated documentation applicable as instructed by your Manager/Supervisor.
- To always comply with company rules.
- Weekly pay (every Thursday)
- Additional Holiday after four years’ service \- Extra Day for every additional year’s service up to a maximum of five extra days.
