Chinese Speaking DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

My client is currently looking for a ChineseSpeakingDevOps Engineers to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will act as the critical link between software development, IT operations, and emerging AI\-driven engineering practices—designing and building the infrastructure, automation, and delivery systems that power our platforms at scale.

This is a hands\-on position with real ownership. You will not simply maintain existing systems; you will help shape them—driving improvements, introducing best practices, and championing a strong DevOps and automation\-first culture across the engineering organisation, including the adoption of AI\-powered tooling where it adds real value.

Duties

CI/CD \& Automation

Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines from the ground up. You will continuously improve our build, test, and deployment processes, enabling faster release cycles while reducing deployment risk. Automation will be central to everything you deliver.

System Monitoring \& Performance Optimisation

Take ownership of production system health, reliability, and performance. You will implement robust monitoring and observability solutions, proactively identify bottlenecks, and optimise systems for stability, efficiency, and scalability across all environments.

Incident Response \& Troubleshooting

Serve as a key escalation point during production incidents. You will lead root cause analysis, resolve critical issues under pressure, and implement long\-term fixes to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.

Configuration Management \& Infrastructure as Code

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management practices to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability across environments.

Containerisation \& Tooling

Drive the adoption and optimisation of containerisation technologies and modern DevOps tooling. You will evaluate new tools, make strategic recommendations, and lead implementation where they deliver meaningful impact.

Experience

• 3\+ years of hands\-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or systems engineering roles


• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar


• Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments


• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell for automation and system management


• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud\-native architectures


• Hands\-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible


• Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)


• Familiarity with AI\-powered DevOps tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants) to improve development and automation efficiency


• Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines or model deployment workflows into CI/CD processes is a plus


• Openness to adopting and evaluating emerging AI\-driven tools that enhance system reliability, monitoring, and operational workflows
