Our Client, a Yorkshire council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
- Undertake statutory assessments and care planning for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in accordance with relevant legislation and local procedures.
- Support young people through the asylum and immigration process, working closely with legal representatives, the Home Office, and other partner agencies.
- Develop and review pathway plans to promote positive outcomes, independence, education, health, and emotional wellbeing.
- Complete age assessments where required and contribute to assessments of need and risk.
- Safeguard vulnerable children and young people, responding effectively to risks such as exploitation, trafficking, neglect, and missing episodes.
- Build effective relationships with carers, accommodation providers, education settings, health professionals, and voluntary sector organisations.
- Maintain accurate records, statutory visits, reviews, and reports, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
