Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist children with their daily needs and development. This role involves working closely with children in various settings, providing personalised support to promote their well\-being, independence, and growth. The ideal candidate will have experience with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while developing valuable skills in childcare and support services.
Duties
- Provide personalised care and support to children according to individual care plans.
- Assist children with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Support children in participating in educational, recreational, and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any concerns related to the child's wellbeing.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to ensure consistent care.
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or school when required.
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children's development and confidence.
- Use IT tools effectively for documentation and communication purposes.
- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely are a bonus.
- Knowledge of childcare principles and experience developing or following care plans.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Good organisational skills and familiarity with IT systems for record keeping.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and wellbeing.
- Ability to work flexibly according to scheduled shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
Pay: £13\.00\-£14\.00 per hour
