Children's Residential Support Worker
Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to join our team. This vital role involves providing high\-quality care and support to children within residential settings, ensuring their safety, well\-being, and development. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a nurturing environment, adhering to care plans, and managing behavioural challenges with patience and professionalism. Previous experience in care environments such as nursing homes, care homes, or home care is highly desirable, along with relevant skills including first aid and medication administration. Duties
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and recreational activities
- Manage behaviour effectively through positive reinforcement and behaviour management strategies
- Administer medication safely following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records
- Facilitate educational and developmental activities that promote growth and independence
- Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain detailed documentation of daily routines, incidents, and progress reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare professionals, social workers, and families to optimise care outcomes
- Drive children safely to appointments or outings as needed
- Prior experience in a children's home is preferred
- Experience in managing behavioural issues related to trauma is beneficial
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children or attending external appointments
Pay: £13\.00\-£15\.00 per hour
