Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Home Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a residential care facility for children. This vital role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. The Children’s Home Manager will coordinate care services, supervise staff, and implement care plans tailored to each child's unique needs. Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized care plans for each child to promote their well\-being and development.
- Oversee daily activities within the home, including meal preparation, recreational activities, educational support, and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor medication administration and health care routines to ensure safety and adherence to medical protocols.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes emotional stability, social skills, and independence among children.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, staff schedules, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience in assisted living or residential care settings with children or vulnerable populations.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience in a care home or similar environment.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to pediatric or adolescent care, including medication administration.
- Familiarity with dementia care principles is advantageous but not essential; emphasis on understanding complex behavioral needs is important.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with staff, children’s families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Compassionate approach combined with organizational prowess to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Pay: £50,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
