Children Residential Support Worker

We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Residential Support Workers across the Teessidearea to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centered care to children and young people within residential settings.

About the Role

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day support to children and young people, helping them to develop their independence, confidence and life skills.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing nurturing and person-centered support.


• Supporting children with daily routines and personal care where required.


• Supporting activities, hobbies and community outings.


• Helping children develop independence and life skills.


• Supporting school runs, appointments and meetings where required.


• Building positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.


• Following individual care and support plans.


• Promoting choice, dignity, wellbeing and independence.


• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.


• Following safeguarding procedures and company policies.


• Completing relevant records and documentation.


• Working positively as part of a wider care team.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Caring, compassionate and patient.


• Reliable and committed to providing high-quality support.


• Confident working with children and young people.


• Able to work as part of a team.


• Flexible and willing to support some weekends.


• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.


• Willing to work across different locations when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or a related subject is preferred.


• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.


• A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.


• Relevant training will be provided where required.
