An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring nurse looking to develop their clinical and leadership skills and undertake the role of a Chest Pain Assessment Support Nurse, to join our already established Specialist Nurses team in Cardiology.
This will allow the post holder to develop their skills and provide Cardiology in\-reach across a number of services including the Emergency Department, the Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Emergency Care Unit as well as Cardiology.
You will help deliver the Chest Pain service at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust by providing specialist knowledge and expertise both in the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic and in the Acute Chest Pain Service
The Chest Pain Assessment Service is available 7 days a week between the hours of 8am to 8pm. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is able to work autonomously and independently providing professional advice and clinical expertise and enabling the best care, the best environment and best patient experience whilst delivering quality care. As well as clinical delivery the individual will be required to ensure accurate completion of audit pertaining to the service to support the lead in the service to improve and develop the Chest Pain Service.
With guidance from the Band 7 Chest Pain Assessment Nurse, provide Cardiology nursing support and expertise to in\-patients with chest pain and acute coronary syndromes within Urgent care, liaising with other key health care professionals within the trust.
With guidance from the Band 7 Chest pain Assessment Nurse, provide a Rapid Access Chest pain Service to out\-patients to ensure swift assessment and appropriate investigation into angina, working to agreed protocols.
Ensure dissemination of the protocols, training staff where required in their use.
To work alongside other specialist cardiac nurses in order to provide a comprehensive and seamless service.
Assist the Band 7 Chest Pain Assessment Nurse to maintain a comprehensive audit of workload and outcomes for patients.
