We are recruiting on behalf of a successful independent café seeking a reliable and experienced Chef to join their team.
Working closely with the owner and wider team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality food offering, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to specification while maintaining excellent kitchen standards. Working Hours
- Wednesday to Saturday: 3:30pm to 10:00pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am to 1:00pm (prep shift)
- Prepare and cook dishes from an established menu to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to company specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and fully compliant kitchen environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage weekly stock ordering and maintain accurate stock records and par levels.
- Minimise waste and support effective stock control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the owner and wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support the delivery of an excellent customer experience through quality food service.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Chef.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Good understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
- Passion for producing high-quality food consistently.
