Bartra Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead culinary operations across four of our facilities in Dublin.
The Role will require commute and work within multiple locations per week
Location: Dublin – across four facilities:
- Loughshinny Residential HomeBlackland, Ballykea,Skerries, Co. Dublin, K34 DV78
- Northwood Residential HomeOld Ballymun Road, Northwood, Dublin 9, D09 H32H
- Clondalkin Lodge Residential HomeNew Road, Clondalkin Village, Dublin 22 D22 R9Y7
- Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care UnitKilmore Road, Artane, Dublin 5, D05 X03
- Personal Hygiene and appearance
- To be familiar with the Food Hygiene Manual and to follow the standards stipulated.
- Wear enclosed, non\-slip, clean black protective shoes \& clean clothing at all times while on duty.
- Wear minimal make\-up and fragrance. Long hair to be tied back or worn up and covered with hair net. No jewelry with the exception of a plain (no stones) wedding band.
- Report any illness or symptoms of food poisoning or food\-borne disease immediately to the Head Chef to safeguard the health of others.
- Ensure any cuts / broken skin is covered with blue, waterproof dressings.
- Ensure thorough and frequent handwashing.
- The chef’s tasks and responsibilities are diversified and vary from cooking or plating certain dishes to establishing the menu and dealing with the ingredient providers.
- Assisting the head chef and undertaking any of their responsibilities during the head chef’s absence.
- Contribute to establishing the working schedule, organization, and efficiency of the work in the kitchen.
- Planning and preparation of the food and meal design in order to create an appealing and nutritious meals with observance of individual requirements of residents or patients
- Making sure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation to food presentation and delivery.
- Making sure that the professional equipment is in good conditions and signaling any malfunction in accordance with Health and Safety policy and standards.
- Be cost effective within budgetary constraints
Qualifications
- Minimum QQI Level 5 In Culinary Arts or equivalent
- Knowledge of HACCP including good hygiene practices
- Flexibility/adaptability
- Excellent written /numerical/analytical skills
- Strong IT Skills
- Highly organized
- Time management
- Management of finances and resources
- Good communication.

- Own Transport
- Teaching abilities
