Restaurant Canvas – on the seventh floor of Volkshotel – is looking for an enthusiastic and independently working chef de partie. From early in the morning until late at night, Canvas is a place for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. A meeting place where many different people cross paths. Do you enjoy working in a creative and international environment and do you have at least two years of relevant work experience? Then you might become our newest colleague.

Are you:

• Living in Amsterdam (or surroundings)?


• Stress resistant and at least 18 years old?


• Flexible, punctual, socially skilled and speaking English?


• In possession of HACCP certification?

This is what your day looks like:

Some stretching before your shift? No problem. All employees can join in on Volkshotel's weekly yoga classes for free. After some stretching you clock in and take the elevator to the seventh floor. You enter the kitchen where you brief your team of colleagues. Then you do the preparations for the night. You prepare dishes à la minute and make sure that the work environment stays clean. Your goal is to make sure that our guests have a memorable experience in our restaurant. Hanging out after your shift? You are not alone, because working with a view of the city of Amsterdam is beautiful, but enjoying it afterwards with a drink might be even more beautiful. As an employee you also receive a discount on everything (programming, rooms, food and drinks) in the hotel.

This is a position for 2\-5 days per week. Salary is in accordance with the horeca CAO and in accordance with your responsibilities, age and experience.
