Chalet Manager Couple

We are seeking an experienced, discreet and proactive household couple to manage the family office secondary residence.

The principal and family spends120\-150 days in residence per year.
The couple will be responsible for maintaining the property to an exceptional standard at all times, including housekeeping, light cooking, light maintenance, driving and hosting. Strong initiative, reliability and independence are essential.
Tech savvy, be capable of checking that ac units are working, tvs etc.

Ensure all household systems and technology are fully operational and up to date.
You will liaise with gardeners and external contractors, ensuring smooth day\-to\-day operations, and maintain regular communication with the Principal’s PA, keeping her updated on the property and schedules.

Housekeeping and Household Management:

• Keep the main house and outbuildings to a consistently high standard.


• Laundry, ironing and housekeeping to a professional standard.

Deep cleaning, detailed organising cupboards, storage room, wardrobes when not in residence

• Daily duties: bins, deliveries, post, restocking supplies, unpacking/packing for travel.


• Seasonal duties: cleaning fireplaces in winter; preparing outdoor furniture, umbrellas.

Cooking and Hospitality:

There is a chef but common sense and assistance will be required to:

• Prepare and serve simple daily meals if need it when chef is off duty.

Confident in service for formal and informal service, and ideally knowledge of basic cocktail preparation and serving wine.

• Host and serve at small dinner parties (5–10 guests) several times per year.


• Assist with larger gatherings (15–20 guests, 1–2 times a year), coordinate with an external


• Lay tables, serve meals, prepare drinks, and ensure excellent guest care

Other Duties include:

Cleaning/ and maintaining cars and sports equipment.

• Carry out general upkeep of the house and grounds, including light DIY, outdoor cleaning, gutter clearing, window care and maintaining patios and external areas


• Maintain outbuildings and sheds, and support the gardening team when needed.


• Liaise with the Principal’s PA, contractors and tradespeople, providing regular updates and arranging repairs or maintenance as required.

Separate accommodation is available if need it.
