Centre Manager - Safari MK award winning indoor play and party venue

Safari MK is a busy, multi\-award\-winning indoor play and family entertainment venue and part of a successful, family\-run business.

We are looking for a brilliant hands\-on Centre Manager to lead our Milton Keynes venue.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves leading people and running a busy operation. You will have real responsibility for Safari MK \- leading the team, driving standards and performance, and working directly with our Group General Manager and owners.

Unlike many senior hospitality and leisure roles, we close at 6pm \- so there are very few late evenings.

The role

You will take responsibility for the day\-to\-day operation of Safari MK, including:

• Leading and developing our managers and wider team


• Making sure we have the right people in the right places at the right times


• Maintaining excellent customer service, cleanliness and presentation


• Working with our Head Chef to maintain high food and café standards


• Recruiting, training and developing staff


• Managing rotas, staffing levels and labour costs


• Leading from the front during busy periods


• Ensuring parties and events are delivered brilliantly


• Driving sales and improving operational performance


• Working with the senior management team on ideas and strategy for Safari MK

Who are we looking for?

You don't need indoor play experience.

You could currently be a Centre Manager, General Manager, Deputy/Assistant General Manager or Operations Manager in hospitality, leisure, restaurants, hotels, bowling, retail or another busy customer\-facing business.

You will need to be:

• A strong and positive people manager


• Hands\-on, visible and comfortable leading from the front


• Highly organised with great attention to detail


• Commercially aware and confident managing staffing and costs


• Calm under pressure and able to juggle different priorities


• Someone who takes ownership and gets things done

We are equally interested in an experienced Venue Manager or an excellent number two who is ready for the opportunity to run their own venue.
