Catering assistant - Full time

We have an exciting opportunity for Full\-Time staff to join the team of Supermac's in The Kinnegad Plaza.

"Please note that this is a full\-time position and not a weekend\-only or part\-time role. Full availability is required, including beyond the summer period."

JOB PURPOSE

The Catering Assistant provides ongoing support to the Management Team to ensure Supermac’s, Papa John's, SuperSubs, Mac’s Deli, and Bewley’s Barista \& Spar customers receive the best quality, service, and cleanliness each time they visit the store. The Catering Assistant must interact with customers, staff, and management in a friendly and efficient manner to achieve this result. It is the responsibility of the team member to carry out his/her duties in compliance with the training received and the standards set in the Employee Handbook. The purpose of the role is to serve all customer, regardless of what area they visit, in a friendly and welcoming fashion, going the extra mile to meet their needs in a clean and presentable environment. All roles require flexibility in cooking, serving, cleaning, and ensuring a great visit for every customer every time.

THE JOB:

• Treating our customers to warm and friendly service every time they visit the site.


• Working in all areas to comply with company standards, adhering to safety/quality aspects, thus ensuring consistency every time.


• Working as part of a team, in all areas as required, treating all staff and management with respect.


• Following company guidelines/training in all aspects of food preparation, production, and storage.


• At all times, portray a professional image, both on and off the premises.


• Working with the management team to increase the number of customers and the amount of money spent every day in our restaurant.


• About cash handling, ensure correct procedures are followed as directed by management.


• Ensuring uniform and personal appearance, complying with company guidelines.


• Flexibility to work in all areas of the site as requested by the Manager


• Constantly putting the customer first, whether first thing in the morning or last thing at night.


• Handle complaints and incidents effectively, passing them on to the Supervisor/ Manager.


• Working with the management team to increase the number of customers and the amount of money spent every day in our restaurant.


• Keep lobby area and customer toilets clean and tidy at all times.

Fast\-paced “non\-stop” environment. Physically demanding at times due to certain requirements of the business with regard to the level of business, quality of staff, and quantity of staff. Teamwork is essential to ensure the procedure runs smoothly in all areas, and communication flows.
