Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-Time

Salary: £30,418 - £41,126 (£14,389.71 - £19454.60 pro-rata)

Start Date: Aug 2026

The Supply Register is proud to be working in close collaboration with West Lancashire College to recruit an experienced Catering & Hospitality Lecturer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking institution delivering high-quality Further Education programmes within a modern and supportive learning environment.

About the Role West Lancashire College is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable lecturer to deliver both practical and classroom-based learning within Catering & Hospitality. You will contribute to the development of course materials, assessments, and innovative teaching approaches that inspire learners and support their progression into industry.

We welcome applications from industry professionals as well as experienced lecturers who are keen to inspire and support students.

Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Catering & Hospitality programmes

  • Develop course content, assessments, and learning materials

  • Support learners with a range of needs, demonstrating empathy, patience, and resilience

  • Manage groups effectively and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the department

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the college

Essential Requirements • A minimum Level 4 qualification in Catering, Hospitality, or a related discipline
  • A Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) or willingness to work towards one

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and use initiative

  • Understanding of quality standards in teaching and learning

Desirable Requirements • Experience supporting students with SEND
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and practices
