Our client:

The role:
  • As category executive you will support the category managers and the development of growth campaigns to increase market share and drive revenue with customers.

  • The category executive will analyse market trends and customer insights to inform product and category strategies

  • The category executive is responsible for identifying new growth opportunities and developing category management plans to meet customer and business needs

  • The category executive will collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Sales, and Suppliers to ensure effective execution of category strategies

  • You will also coordinate with the campaign & activation team for effective promotions

  • As category executive you will be involved in supporting both own brand and branded business across various channels.

Ideal candidate:
  • Proven experience in a commercial setting or a related role, preferably within the food or retail industry

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and opportunities in data

  • You will be a creative thinker with a flair for innovation and “thinking outside the box”

  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder communication skills, you will also have strong negotiation skills and have a result focussed mindset towards delivering success.

  • Passion for food and understanding of consumer needs are advantageous

  • Confident in working cross-functionally with internal departments and external suppliers
