Case Manager – Veterans Welfare Group

Overview

The Veterans Welfare Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate case manager to support our Armed Forces community. This role is central to delivering high\-quality welfare support, acting as a trusted first point of contact for serving personnel, veterans and their families.

The successful candidate will provide guidance, mentoring, and practical assistance across a wide range of welfare areas, helping those navigate often complex systems and access the support they need. Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for veterans seeking advice and welfare support, ensuring a welcoming, professional, and empathetic experience


• Provide clear, accurate information and guidance across a range of welfare support areas, including:


• Financial \& Welfare


• Legal advice


• Rehabilitation


• Medical discharge processes


• Transition, resettlement and employment


• Wellbeing


• Offer mentoring and practical guidance to veterans navigating welfare systems and related processes


• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions using Microsoft Office and internal systems


• Organise appointments, follow\-ups, and case management activities to ensure timely and effective support


• Work closely with internal teams and external organisations to coordinate services and achieve the best possible outcomes for veterans


• Communicate professionally and compassionately via phone, email, and in person

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and sensitively


• Previous experience in a customer service, advisory, or client\-facing role, ideally within welfare, support, or care environments


• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail


• Experience in mentoring, support work, or a genuine passion for helping and guiding others


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) for record keeping and reporting


• Good IT literacy and confidence in learning new systems quickly


• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment

This role offers a meaningful and fulfilling opportunity to support veterans through compassionate, professional service delivery. The position is shift\-based, Monday to Friday only, with rotating shifts covering 8am to 6pm, including 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm and 10am to 6pm.

Pay: From £24,800\.00 per year
