Carer
Job Summary
The Sisters at St. Michael's Convent (Gerrards Cross) look forward to welcoming compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to help us in supporting 4 elderly Sisters (two with dementia).
There are two sessions per day to be covered:
7:30am \- 1:30pm and 5:30pm \- 8:30pm
It would be particularly helpful if one of the Carers were inclined to live in one of the ensuite rooms in the Convent (meals could be provided, or access to a kitchen if preferred) in order to be a 'presence' in the building outside of 'work hours', and in case of emergency. This Carer could be free to take on work elsewhere during the day if desired.
Although cover is needed 7 days per week, we would be open to discussion about how many days/hours each Carer would prefer to cover, bearing in mind that providing a sense of security and stability for the Sisters is important to us.
We invite applications from experienced, qualified Carers who are committed and enthusiastic – who would really enjoy being involved in making a meaningful difference in these Sisters' lives, by providing high\-quality care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity.
We hope that the role would be rewarding for the Carers as well. Ideally, the new Carers would become valued members of our team for many years to come.
