As a Care Worker in our care home, you will play a key role in supporting older people to live safely, comfortably and with dignity each day. Through practical support, encouragement and companionship, you'll help residents maintain their independence, achieve their personal goals and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Whether you're supporting someone with their morning routine, helping them take part in an activity they enjoy or simply being there to listen, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

What you will do

  • Support residents with personal care and daily living activities

  • Assist with meals and encourage good nutrition and hydration

  • Promote independence, choice and wellbeing

  • Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues

  • Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support

  • Maintain accurate records and follow care procedures and best practice

About youYou will be caring, reliable and committed to supporting older people to live well. You'll enjoy working as part of a team and understand the importance of treating every resident with dignity, respect and compassion. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. We're equally interested in people with the right values, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to support others.You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
