Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to provide high\-quality assistance and support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of clients by delivering personalised care tailored to their individual needs. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional requirements are met and dietary restrictions are adhered to.
- Administer medication following prescribed instructions and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
- Provide specialised care for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments, employing behaviour management techniques as necessary.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Support clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as required, ensuring safety at all times.
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when needed, to ensure a secure environment.
- Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments is highly desirable.
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards clients of all ages.
- Knowledge of care home procedures, learning disabilities and autism support is advantageous.
- Ability to handle behavioural challenges with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Basic first aid certification is preferred; willingness to undertake training if necessary.
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs safely.
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include evenings ,night or weekends if required.
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£28,112\.97 per year
