We are recruiting a Care Responder to join our specialist Response 24 team, providing expert care and support to vulnerable adults in the comfort of they own home.
The Response 24 service is the first of it's kind. Providing 24 hour a day 365 day a year care and support to residents of North Somerset. Working as part of a response team you will attend care based emergencies when a call comes through to the office.
This role is varied, one minute you could be assisting with a specialist referral, the next you could be attending someone who has fallen in their home and needs support. This role is a dynamic and exciting one, you could be supporting clients with:
\- Personal care emergencies.
\- Assisting clients who have fallen using specialist equipment.
\- Attending non responses.
\- Administering first aid or taking observations to pass to our health partners.
\- Administering medication.
\- Nutrition and hydration support.
\- Using specialist equipment and correct manual handling procedures to assist clients who are less mobile.
\- Offering companionship, support and a friendly ear, giving clients social nourishment.
You don’t necessarily need previous experience for this role. We provide you with all of the training you need. If you are patient, kind, compassionate and want to make a difference to the lives of people who really need your support then we would like to talk to you.

Financials:
\- Block paid shifts (paid an hourly rate from the start to the end of your shift including when travelling and awaiting a call out) paid at £13\.30 per hour, something rarely seen in the social care sector.
\- Use of our company vehicles when on shift, and 45p per mile mileage paid to you when you use your own vehicle for work purposes.
\- Receive a £1,000 joining bonus for joining us.
\- Every six months you will get the proud to care bonus, paid to you for working for a North Somerset lead provider, worth up to £1,084\.00 per year.
\- Earn £250 for every employee referral you make, this is uncapped.
A work\-life balance you can rely on:
\- You will get a fixed two week rota with the following hours:
Week 1:
\- Saturday \- 22:00\-07:30
\- Sunday \- 22:00\-07:30
Week 2:
\- Thursday \- 14:30\-22:30
\- Friday \- 14:30\-22:30
\- Sunday \- 07:00\-22:30
\- Up to 33 days annual leave per year depending on length of service.
