Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Duties

• Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support


• Support the implementation of individual care plans to meet each resident’s specific needs


• Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental and emotional well\-being


• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with care standards


• Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to coordinate care and address concerns


• Support with light household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment


• Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as needed, ensuring their safety at all times

Experience

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate


• Good communication skills in English to interact clearly and compassionately with residents and colleagues


• Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and adhere to health and safety protocols


• Basic IT skills for recording documentation and updating resident records efficiently


• Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation or outings


• Demonstrated caring attitude, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents

Pay: £13\.45 per hour
