Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at our brand new care home in Wotton\-under\-Edge. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high\-quality care to individuals in a care setting. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalised support and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.


• Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.


• Follow care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.


• Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with the care team.


• Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.


• Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care.

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.


• Experience or knowledge of care home environments and home care practices is advantageous.


• Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.


• Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating within the team.


• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

Day and night shifts available.

Successful candidates will be subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.

Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time, Permanent

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
