Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high\-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well\-being. Duties

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility


• Support individuals with personalised care plans tailored to their needs


• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life


• Help with medication management and health monitoring as required


• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems


• Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families


• Support clients with home care tasks including meal preparation and light housekeeping


• Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when necessary


• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided


• Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving driving or escorting clients


• Good command of English, both spoken and written


• Strong IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others


• Organised and reliable with the ability to follow care plans accurately
