Care Assistant (Nights)

In return, we will offer you an hourly rate of £12\.90 per hour plus incentive payments on all overtime.

DUTIES OVERNIGHT: Key Tasks may vary but will include

• Assist residents with all aspects of personal and assist them to retire to bed comfortably.


• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including bedrooms and communal areas overnight including cleaning duties.


• Assist Seniors in all aspects of care recording and documentation for the care you give overnight.


• Conduct regular welfare checks of residents overnight.


• Understand and assist with complex care needs for people requiring it such as pressure relief, feeding and continence care.


• Assist in patient care for those that are on end of life or palliative care pathway.


• Maintain resident records and attend handover daily to ensure effective recording and communication.


• Report accidents and incidents to the senior member of staff on duty


• Welcome and attend to visitors during night hours.

When on shift you are part of the team complement and as such are required to help and assist with all aspects of resident’s care. This 12 hour paid shift is a waking night. No sleeping on duty is permitted.

Qualifications Required: currently holding NVQ level 2 (Adult) or equivalent or willing to work towards the qualification.
