Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant (Days) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high\-quality support to residents in a care home environment, ensuring their well\-being, comfort, and dignity. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering personalised care tailored to individual needs. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering excellent care during daytime hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding, respecting individual dietary requirements.
- Help implement and follow personalised care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental and emotional well\-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and family members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Support residents in maintaining independence whilst providing necessary assistance.
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to support transportation needs if required.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes are necessary.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions accurately.
