Care Assistant (day shifts) - Hamilton Rest Home
Shift pattern: 3 x 12\-hour day shifts per week (07:30am\-7:30pm) including public holidays and some weekends

With over 30 years of dedicated service, we take pride in providing compassionate care for the elderly. Our home offers 24\-hour residential care for up to 23 residents. We also provide respite care for short\-term placements, ensuring peace of mind for both residents and their families. About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to work day shifts and join our team on an immediate start (depending on satisfactory checks). This is a full\-time role offering 33 hours per week (1 hour per shift is unpaid for breaks). You’ll be working day shifts from 07:30am to 7:30pm, including some weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high\-quality, person\-centred care to residents during the day
- Support and assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
- Administer medication to residents and maintain accurate records
- Monitor and respond to residents’ needs throughout the day
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to senior staff
- Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing always
- Ensure the care home remains clean, safe, and comfortable at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a care role (preferred)
- Holds a Care Certificate qualification (preferred)
- Can administer medication
- Is kind, patient, respectful and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others
- Has good communication and teamwork skills and committed to delivering high standards of care.
- Can work independently and as part of a small team
- Is comfortable with personal care tasks
