Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or providing home care services. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering high\-quality personal care and support tailored to individual needs. Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support individuals with personal hygiene and toileting needs in a respectful manner
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Maintain accurate care plans and document any changes in health or behaviour
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing
- Support with medication administration as per care plans (training provided if necessary)
- Assist with light domestic tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, subject to holding a valid driving licence
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure coordinated care
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits or client outings
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector
- Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and active listening
- Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with team members, healthcare professionals, and families
Pay: £7,270\.12\-£34,920\.60 per year
