Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high\-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility


• Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity


• Implement and follow personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment


• Assist with medication administration as required, following proper procedures


• Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary


• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational standards


• Drive clients to appointments or social activities, ensuring safe transportation


• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Experience

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates


• Good understanding of care plans and how to implement them effectively


• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes


• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal


• Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation


• Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
