Care and Learning Mentor

Position: Care and Learning Mentor
Locations: Caergwrle, Wrexham, Buckley.
Type: Full\-Time, a rota that promotes a healthy work life balance with 2 shifts on and 4 days off plus rota'd sleep in duties.
Salary: £28,292 up to £33,611 per annum inclusive of sleep in duties.
What you’ll do:
As a Care and Learning Mentor you within a family\-style care home setting, supporting young people both in the home and in their education.
Key Responsibilities
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
- Support learning and educational development within our onsite school and alongside external educational settings.
- Reinforce learning a developmental goals in the care home environment.
- Understand each child's individual experiences, strengths, and support needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, local authorities, schools, and other professionals.
- Contribute to personalised support plans to help young people achieve positive outcomes.
- Act as a positive role model, offering care, guidance, encouragement, and emotional support.
- Help young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
- Compassionate and caring individuals.
- Strong communication and relationship\-building skills.
- A commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people.
- Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude.
- A welcoming and supportive working environment.
- A comprehensive four week induction programme.
- Full training provided, including for those new to the sector.
