We are recruiting an experienced Registered General Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab for a leading private hospital in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with acute hospital experience who is looking to develop further within a specialist cardiac environment, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements

• Registered in the General Division of the NMBI Register


• Minimum 3 years' post\-registration experience in an acute hospital setting


• Previous experience within a Cardiac Cath Lab or relevant specialist cardiac/procedural area in an acute Irish hospital


• Strong clinical and professional competence


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team


• Good IT skills


• Fluent written and spoken English


• Existing legal right to work in Ireland

Desirable

• Relevant specialist or postgraduate nursing qualification


• Experience in procedural or cardiac nursing


• Strong clinical decision\-making and organisational skills


• Knowledge of clinical risk management and quality improvement

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate high\-quality patient care


• Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures


• Prepare and support patients before, during and following procedures


• Work closely with Consultants, Clinical Nurse Managers and the multidisciplinary team


• Respond appropriately to clinical deterioration and emergency situations


• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation


• Work in accordance with hospital policies and NMBI professional standards


• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety and ongoing professional development
