Candle Production Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Candle Production & Packing Operative to support the preparation and finishing stages of our candle production process.

The role will not involve the actual candle filling process. Instead, you will be responsible for ensuring vessels are correctly prepared before filling and that finished candles are cleaned, labelled, quality checked and packed to a high standard ready for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Production Preparation:


• Unpack and organise candle vessels ready for production.


• Carry out visual quality checks on vessels, identifying any cracks, chips, marks, imperfections or other defects.


• Prepare and inspect vessels to ensure they meet the required quality standards.


• Fit and secure wicks correctly and consistently in preparation for filling.


• Keep the production area clean, organised and ready for use.


• Follow all production procedures and health & safety requirements.

Post-Production Finishing

• Clean and inspect filled candle glasses, removing any wax residue, marks or imperfections.


• Carry out final quality checks to ensure candles meet the required presentation and quality standards.


• Apply labels accurately and consistently, ensuring correct positioning and alignment.


• Check finished products for any defects before packing.


• Pack finished candles carefully into cartons, ensuring products are protected and packed according to specification.


• Maintain a clean and tidy work area throughout the production process.
