Café Supervisor / Senior Barista & Events Lead

We are looking for an experienced and charismatic Café Supervisor with a strong background in both specialty coffee and bartending to join our successful team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality, confident behind both the coffee machine and the bar, and excited to help develop our evening service and private events business.

The successful candidate must have solid bartending experience, including advising customers on alcoholic beverages, preparing cocktails, and delivering a professional and engaging bar experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the daily operations of the café


• Prepare high\-quality coffee and espresso drinks to an excellent standard


• Deliver outstanding customer service with a warm, bubbly, and professional attitude


• Take an active role in developing the bar service during evenings and events


• Advise customers on wines, spirits, cocktails, and alcoholic beverages


• Prepare and serve cocktails and mixed drinks confidently and efficiently


• Help create and develop an attractive evening drink offering


• Develop the growth of private events and evening hospitality operations


• Train and motivate staff while maintaining high service standards


• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with licensing regulations


• Assist with stock control, ordering, opening/closing duties, and general management support

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Barista in a busy hospitality environment


• Significant bartending experience is essential


• Proven ability in cocktail making and alcoholic beverage preparation


• Good knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and bar operations


• Experience advising customers and upselling drinks professionally


• Previous supervisory or hospitality leadership experience preferred


• Mature, reliable, and highly responsible


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Positive, energetic, and personable character


• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
