We are seeking an ambitious, energetic, and people\-focused Café Manager to lead the launch and day\-to\-day operation of our newly opening café and sandwich concept.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands\-on hospitality professional who enjoys building teams, creating efficient systems, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast\-paced environment.
About the Role
As Café Manager, you will play a key role in opening and establishing our new café. You will oversee daily operations, recruit and develop a strong team, maintain exceptional service standards, and help create a welcoming and efficient customer experience from launch through ongoing growth.
You will work closely with senior management to ensure the café operates successfully while maintaining excellent food quality, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful opening and day\-to\-day management of the café
- Recruit, train, develop, and motivate front\-of\-house and supervisory team members
- Build a positive team culture focused on service excellence and operational efficiency
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a welcoming guest experience
- Manage staff scheduling, rostering, and labour costs effectively
- Oversee stock control, ordering processes, and supplier relationships
- Ensure consistent food presentation, sandwich preparation standards, and overall product quality
- Maintain excellent standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene compliance
- Respond to customer feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and senior management teams
- Drive sales growth, operational performance, and continuous improvement
- Establish and maintain opening procedures, workflows, and service standards for a newly launched operation
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a café, restaurant, deli, or similar hospitality operation
- Previous experience opening a new hospitality venue or implementing operational systems is an advantage
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast\-paced, customer\-focused environment
- Commercial awareness with strong problem\-solving capability
- Experience with staff training, scheduling, stock management, and cost control
- Passion for hospitality, fresh food, and delivering memorable customer experiences
