Cafe Coordinator - 30 Hours
Juice Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading organisation supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, with the appointment of a Café Co-ordinator to join their team in Mold.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in hospitality, catering, retail or a customer-facing environment who is passionate about supporting people to develop confidence, independence and valuable workplace skills.
You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of a community café, whilst supporting individuals to develop catering, customer service, social and employability skills in a real-world environment.
Location:
Mold, Flintshire
Hours:
30 hours per week
Working pattern:
Initially Tuesday–Friday, 9am–3.30pm, with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends in line with service needs
Salary:
£28,211.25 pro rata
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Running the café and providing a warm, welcoming and inclusive customer experience
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, light meals and refreshments
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism to develop catering and hospitality skills
- Encouraging independence, confidence and participation through meaningful activities
- Operating the till, handling payments and supporting stock management
- Supporting food preparation using produce grown on site
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety
- Building positive relationships with customers, families, colleagues and community partners
- Supporting community events and activities
- Working both indoors and outdoors as part of a varied and hands-on role
- Previous experience within hospitality, catering, retail or a customer-facing environment
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- A genuine passion for supporting people to achieve their goals
- A positive, flexible and solution-focused approach
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism would be advantageous
- Café or barista experience would be beneficial
- Full UK driving license desirable
- Part-time, 30 hours per week
- Varied role combining hospitality, horticulture and person-centered support
