PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Developing design solutions (aka installations) within the DMU


• Playing a key role in their complete life cycle, from specification to production support and industrial validation, in a collaborative work environment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance Measurement/KPI’s

• Respect of committed lead time

Responsibilities
*Accountable for:*

• Delivering design solutions (aka installations) including:

\- Designing and pre\-dimensioning design solutions (aka installations) main parts interfaces
\- Designing design solutions (aka installations) main parts (if decision of design make)

\- Checking and integrating design solutions (aka installations) main 3D parts (if part design is purshased)
\- Producing associated drawings and integrating meta data

\- Checking other CAD work in peer review, or work produced by another site on the design solution (aka installation) on relevant scope

• Performing stack up analysis intenal to the design solution (aka installation) (when required)


• Considering RoE and implementing problem solving methodologies on relevant scope

*Responsible for*

• Performing and maintaining SAM (Space Allocation Model) in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints


• Creating annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers


• Checking compliancy of suppliers feedback with relevant SAM


• Producing and communicating weight information


• Instructing Engineering change requests and executing Engineering change in relevant scope


• Reporting on progress and status

*Contributes to*

• Concurrent engineering with indus, internal and external suppliers


• Subsystem\-level dimensional stack\-up analyses


• Production support (back\-office and shop floor)


• First Mounting Review


• Identification of mock up necessary for work verification

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Educational Requirements *\&* Experience

Mandatory:

• Advanced technician certificate

Desirable:

Experience

Mandatory:

3D Modelling, drawing/FTA creation

Design in heavy industry

Desirable:

Railway industry experience is considered an asset
